The Art of UnCasso
“Un” (a name fit for an Artist). I was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and moved to the states when I was 9yrs old. From an early age I was a fan of art and the culture that surrounds art but it never seemed like a realistic option. It wasn’t until college that I started looking into the likes of the great Salvadore Dali, Basquiat and more recently Banksy. I found it intriguing that they all had different styles that defined them. I wasn't the best artist around, so creating my own style would be the only option for me to have an identity in the art world. With no formal art background, I spent over 10yrs developing this artistic style I called UncuttArt.
Fast-forward 15 years and UncuttArt has been celebrated on a multitude of different platforms including customization of garments as well as shoes and accessories. Most recently, I have dove in to the canvas using inspiration from various pop culture images and public figures. As society seems obsessed with the "celebrity" I am motivated to distract them from the idea that some of us are "actually" better than others, using the images they so sincerely glorify. But, i had my Own reasons. I started with the Young Michael Image cuz he represented change & i was going thru my own change at the time.
I should say that along my journey as an artist, I've grown to be drawn and influenced by everything in life that is outside the norm. Things that are created thru the eyes of one or more persons who's vision may not all be on the same frequencies.

My paintings are primarily acrylic on canvas. The themes of my artwork are diverse, ranging from our Pop culture today to the Art of ancient tribal warriors.
Uncutt Art is the process of combining various shapes together in order to form a big picture, or mosaic. Each shape in collaboration with each other can then form smaller images within the larger picture. At times I utilize positive and negative spaces to create images that may bend the mind and heart alike.
With surgical precision, a sharp eye and an open mind I leave my hopes, fears, dreams, and realities on canvas for all to see.
This fundraising campaign will take this exhibit from a dream to a reality. My art expresses endless possibilities & desire. It challenges people to leave their box at home to mingle within the circle.
About My Process....
Everything starts with finding the perfect silhouette to create an 8x11 sketch of the subject; from there I pick my canvas size and start painting. The painting process for an 11X14 is two days with breaks in between so, I'm guessing that a 4ftx4ft painting would take about two weeks.

Here's a lil bit more about my inspiration...
I create my art the way I think, with no boundaries. With all possibilities being possible when I try. When you look at my art, it takes a bunch of STRANGE peices to comr together to create 1 BEAUTIFUL image. And as Humans, so can we... We all alll connected in a great way and I plan to challenge the mind by displaying a new way of thinking with my art, Promoting PEACE & UNITY in the world... i know it sound far out, but, my art showed my that anything is possible, and Michael Jackson said it best when he said the "Change starts with the individual" and this is my way of starting my change... and I thank you guys in advance for all your support as my journey for "1Mind & 1Heard" continues...
